About the Joomla! Southern African Portal

The Joomla! Southern African Community Portal has been created by some of Southern Africa's biggest Joomla! fans. We have been using Joomla! sites for over 5 years years now, and are actively engaged in teaching and training clients and students, hosting and developing their Joomla! sites. We actively promote the use of Joomla! among Southern Africans, who are - on the whole - relatively ignorant of many open source solutions that can be employed with ease and managed with convenience.

www.Joomla.org.za is geared to support and connect users, designers, developers, hosts and other interested folk, in a neutral meeting space, which keeps users abreast of Joomla! developments and happenings from a Southern African perspective.

We regularly arrange workshops, training days and other opportunities such as the ever-popular Joomla! Day South Africa events to enhance collaboration among Joomla users in South Africa.

We encourage you to register in our Joomla! Southern African Directory so that you may customise your own service portfolio, share an article of news worthiness or an event in your area, share useful documents, discuss Joomla! matters in the forum, and submit a Joomla! powered site for publication. Check out the latest extensions that we recommend and join us as we collaborate and enjoy doing what comes naturally to us as we explore the web with an inquiring mind.

There is also a Joomla User Group that has been established to facilitate communication amongst the emerging Joomla Community here in SA. Anyone can join and start to email others about Joomla related matters.

Our vision is all-4-Joomla! and Joomla-4-all, starting here in Southern Africa.

Do visit www.Joomla.org.za today!
