Valentine's day is creeping up and the shops are advertising Easter
with Easter Eggs displayed in tantalising temptations. They really know
how to move time along. No wonder it feels like the year flies by, its
because its only February and they already have you dreaming about your
Easter Weekend. As a great Afrikaans person of note once said "skanda"!
We're in the second month of the year and for some of you work has
taken off like a rocket, for others who are more prone to vintage
vehicles which have incredible value and longevity but need a bit of
warming up first - work is slowly coming to life.
Either way, make sure
you send us your Brag Rapsheet.
We want to show all those looking in what Joomla! can do and how
creative you can get. Often we can try and talk loads but websites
speak for themselves and they are often the best advertisements for
Joomla! If you would like to add the websites you have designed to the "Showcase" page , remember to

The migration from Joomla! 1.0 to 1.5 is handled for the most part
automatically in two stages. The first stage is the export migration
component for Joomla! 1.0 and the second stage is the import or
migration phase of the Joomla! 1.5 installer. The system is automated
due to a large number of changes that make data slightly incompatible
between Joomla! 1.0 and 1.5, such as parameters for menus and content
items. Whilst it is still possible to use a database dump to migrate,
this is not advised as there will be data loss. This page aims to
detail how to migrate from Joomla! 1.0 to Joomla! 1.5 with as much ease
as possible.

It is with great pride that the Joomla! community announces to the
world the immediate availability of Joomla! 1.5 Stable [Khepri]. As a community of contributors, we
have been through celebrations and tribulations. We have had fun, and
we have worked hard. We have learned from and helped one another. What
started two and a half years ago with a letter to the community has
grown into a great opportunity for both the Joomla! project and
community to benefit from these efforts and to consider our future.

The Joomla! Project today announced the immediate release of Joomla!
1.0.14 RC1 [Daybreak], the first and hopefully singular
release candidate for the 1.0.14 release cycle. Several security
issues have been discovered and addressed for this release. While the
required changes are not significant, the number of impacted files are
significant and we need your help. Before this release is declared
stable we need to ensure that it works as well for you as it does for
us.
Those of you that are able and willing please download a
copy of 1.0.14 RC1 and test it on a backup copy of your live site.
Make sure that the system works as good or better than Joomla! 1.0.13,
our current stable release. Any issues that you find please report in
the 1.0.x Bug Tracker. If you have questions on how to report a bug you should read the how-to and then if you still have questions please feel free to ask them in our 1.0.x Quality and Testing forum.
Since
this release fixes security vulnerabilities, once you have verified on
a backup of your site that everything works as expected we suggest that
you upgrade your live site to this release.
